Teri,
I was terribly sorry to hear about Allen when we all had such high hopes after the surgery. The world has lost a very fine man. I will miss Allen as a friend and as one of those rare persons who can bring joy into the lives of others simply by his presence.
Most Sincerely,
Chick

My
thoughts and heart have been with you and wish I could have joined
Bobbi Lou and Jennifer. Allen was truly one of a kind, not only was he
"class" as Fred said, you knew by simply talking with him and looking
in his eyes he truly cared--As I looked at his picture on the front
page it was as if he were talking right at you--he made you feel like
you were really special, when the truth was, it was he who was so
special.
I know he will be missed, and void never filled, but he also leaves
such wonderful memories, and an example for family to emulate. May God
bless all of you and give strength to heal the wounds of sorrow and
loss.

I met Allen in 1960 and from that day on I always knew him as a great guy with a big heart. I remember he worked on building a model airplane for a month or so and when we went to fly it in a little park in East Pensacola, Allen promptly crashed it..He just sort of laughed at himself and said, next time, I will have to do a little better. He always looked at the brighter side of things and I pray he has found peace and his family knows he is at peace also. A good guy who many will miss!

Allen Levin was a credit to the Levin family, to his wife and children and to the community. We will miss the warmth of his smile and the ever present twinkle in his eye. He handled a cancer "death sentence" with incredible dignity, an example for us all. We love Allen, and we will be comforted by many happy memories of this remarkable and friendly man.
