It´s been 18 years since Judge Ed Becker left us. His passing left a void on the Court that still exists today. Our nation sure could use the Constitutional wisdom evidenced in Judge Becker´s rulings. R.I.P., Your Honor and watch over our Court System and our Country!

Dear Flora,
It has been over 40 years since I met you, but Eddie was always a part of Bernie's life. He called me when Bernie died in 2004, and I was quite touched to renew the contact after so many years. I rember his parents and sister quite well.

My deepest condolences to the Judge's family and friends. One of the highlights of my life was the time that I spent interning for him during my third year at Temple Law. More important than any legal lesson that he taught me, he showed me the importance of having "my heart in the right place" -- and he did so by example.
You will be missed, Judge.

I had no idea that Ed was ill when I watched him testify before the Senate at least twice in the past few months. I remember him fondly as his classmate at Yale Law School, Class of 1957 and his friendliness at reunions. Hank Marcus, Candidate for Congress, 2nd District, New Jersey

Dear Mrs Becker and family,
I was saddened to hear of Judge Becker's death. He was a kind and gentle man and I will always remember him that way.
I remember coming over to play with Jamie as a child; we would be doing arts and crafts or playing chinese checkers or other board games, and Judge Becker would pop in and ask who was winning or what we were making, and then back to his books.
I had the utmost respect for him and Mrs Becker and admired their loving relationship.
I have many memories of your family and they are all fond ones.
Mrs Becker, now your "Eddie" can be with Jamie and I'm sure you have 2 guardian angels to watch over you and your family.
I'm sorry for your loss....he has touched many and will be missed.

To the Becker family, please accept our condolences for the loss of your husband, father, grandfather, and brother. It was our privilege to know Judge Becker as a long time neighbor. He was always very willing to step up to help whenever needed. We admired his modesty and his sincere dedication to our neighborhood to which we shared a life long residency. He was an asset to the judicial system, to be certain. He will be missed.

Judge Becker was well-known and respected for his words of wisdom; and I find it very difficult to address what his passing means to so many people. The brilliant mind of a highly respected jurist, a loving husband and father, a gracious and entertaining host, a good neighbor and friend to all - Judge Ed Becker was certainly one of a kind. It has been an honor and privilege to know him. May God grant him the peace he deserves and comfort his family in their time of sorrow.
