Mark Garbin Obituary
Mark Louis Garbin VIRGINIA BEACH - Mark Louis Garbin, 45, passed away July 21, 2008, in a Virginia Beach Hospital. Mark was born April 24, 1963, in Pittsburgh to the late Anthony John Garbin and Anna Mae Kibbler Garbin. He was a member of Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Virginia Beach. A restaurant manager with more than 20 years of experience, he was currently serving with the Smokey Bones restaurant. Mark was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was an avid Steelers fan. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ann Garbin; son, Joshua Adam Garbin (17); sister, Cathy Betz (Robert) of Wilmington, N.C.; brothers, John Garbin (Kathy, deceased) of Pittsburgh and Tony Garbin (Rhonda) of Ohio; and his aunts, Honey Blankenbehler and Pat Steffey. A memorial Mass will be conducted at noon Friday in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, by Father Esteban DeLeon. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes Mass Cards in Mark's memory. Mass Cards can be obtained through Star of the Sea Catholic Church.

To all of Mark's family my heart and prayers go out to you. Will greatly miss Mark. Just started emailing with Mark and he had helped Cathy an I get back together through email. I was saddened to find out that Mark had passed away. He was a good friend in high school when we both attended Gateway. I'll always remember the laughs and good times we shared. My deepest sympathy and condolences to his wife and children. They are in my thoughts and prayers.

Mark I know how much you loved life and I'll never forget how you made the St. Bernadette Youth Group out of Monroeville laugh until our sides ached when you did an impersonation of Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. Your love of life was contagious.

Im so very sorry to hear of the passing of Mark. Mark just e-mailed after hearing of my mothers death on 7/8/08. I last e-mailed him on 7/18/08 and he responed and said he was doing well. Mark was a wonderful man and I will miss him dearly.

Mark made work at Bennigan's entertaining, by telling endless amounts of jokes, and stories from his rebellious years. He was kind, caring, and understanding. Mark will never be forgotten.
