Elizabeth Briggs Obituary
Elizabeth J. Briggs VIRGINIA BEACH - Elizabeth Julia Briggs, 56, passed away Aug. 7, 2008. Born in Rutherfordton, N.C., she was a Catholic and a member of TOPS. Elizabeth is survived by her parents, James P. and Helen Briggs; three brothers, James J. Briggs of Austin, Texas, Andrew A. Briggs and wife Pauline of Norfolk and David J. Briggs of Austin; two nephews, Andrew and Kevin Briggs and her loving companion, James Alley of Virginia Beach. The family wishes to thank the staff of Unit 1 at Sentara Nursing Center, Newtown Road, Norfolk. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, today from 7 to 8 p.m. The funeral Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X Catholic Church by Father Venancio (Jun) Balarote. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to one's favorite charity. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
