Gerald Verboncoeur Obituary


Gerard O. Verboncoeur VIRGINIA BEACH - Gerard O. Verboncoeur of Belleza Court passed away Aug. 9, 2008. Mr. Verboncoeur was a native of Rhode Island and a graduate of Brown University who served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Mr. Verboncoeur is survived by his beloved wife, Anna; two daughters, Elfriede Peterson (John) and Rosemarie Blais of Virginia Beach; his son, Carl Verboncoeur (Lynn) of Potomac, Md.; a sister, Theresa Golombek; brother, Rene Verboncoeur; nine grandchildren, Deborah Hensley (Ted), David Blais (Pamela), Robert Rocheford, Linda Rosenwald (Jason), John Peterson (Katy), Kristin Lang (Robert), Jason Peterson (Leah), Christopher Verboncoeur and Kathryn Verboncoeur; as well as 10 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held today at 3 p.m. in St. Michael Lutheran Church, Princess Anne Road, with pastors Chris Bowen and Rob Cosmas presiding. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael Lutheran Church, 2208 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23456.
