Larry England Obituary


Larry P. England Sr. FAIRBORN, Ohio - Larry P. England Sr., 64, passed away Aug. 12, 2008. He was born Aug. 21, 1943, in Pike County, Ky., the son of the late John and Thursa (Huston) England. Larry served his country in the U.S. Navy, retiring in 1987 following 26 years of service. He followed with employment at Heritage Lighting in Virginia Beach and was currently employed with CPD-OH in Miamisburg, Ohio. His memberships include the VFW 6861 in Fairborn, and the Fleet Reserve Association. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Lee England; a sister, Betty Hughes; and a brother-in-law, Jesse Vance. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Marilyn; a son, Larry Jr. of Fairborn; a daughter, Theresa Crossland and husband Phillip of Chesapeake; two grandchildren, Tamara A. England of Fairborn, Brandon J. Hamby of Chesapeake; a sister, Peggy Vance of Fairborn; mother-in-law, Evelyn Teague of Fairborn; sister and brother-in-law, Woolard and Carolyn Morgan of Dayton; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the Dayton National Cemetery, 4100 W. Third St., Dayton. Arrangements in care of Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, Fairborn.
