Steven and family, I am so sorry to hear on valarie's passing. She was a wonderful and caring person. I do remember our Ombudsman days very well and I know that there were some days that Valarie truly made a difference in a Navy Wife's life. She was a character and always had energy that I sometimes had a hard time keeping up with her. She will be missed but never forgotten.... with all our thoughts and prayers, God Bless....Betsy Mays and family

Valerie has been my sole purpose in my life. With her gone, I feel empty, like my purpose for living has been taken away from me. But I will find another purpose one day. I find solace in the fact that she is no longer hurting. She has finally found peace. Go, my love. Leave your wheelchair behind, and run and jump like you could not do here. I will always love you, Valerie...always.
