Joseph White Obituary
Joseph C. White Jr. CHESAPEAKE - Joseph Clyde White Jr., 76, passed away Aug. 13, 2008. He was born in North Carolina to the late Joseph Clyde White Sr. and Sarah Cross White. He was a retired salesman with Burton Lumber. He was predeceased by his wife, Martha White, and a daughter, Carolyn Gorris, and is survived by four children, Rebecca "Becky" DeViva, Ray White, Jerry White and Terry Pitts; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carolyn and Dot; and a brother, Jim White. The visitation will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road, Virginia Beach, Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. The funeral will be held at the funeral home Monday at 11 a.m. with burial to follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens.
