Joseph Beale Obituary
Joseph S. Beale Sr. VIRGINIA BEACH - Joseph S. Beale Sr., of the 4200 block of Longwood Road, passed away Aug. 13, 2008. He was a native of South Hampton County, Virginia, and a retired cement finisher. Joseph S. Beale Sr. was predeceased by his mother, Novella Beale; his father, John Beale; two sisters, Arbedela Malone and Dorothy Clairborne; and two brothers, Lee Beale and Frank Beale. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife, Erma Beale; four daughters, Jacqueline Jordan of Maryland, Phyllis Beale and Juanita Reid of Virginia Beach, Brenda Stewart of Gainesville, Fla.; three sons, Calvin Beale of Alexandria, Va., Joseph S. Beale Jr. of Virginia Beach, Donald Beale of St. Louis, Mo.; three sisters, Lucille Lewis of Waldorf , Md., Tillie May Griffin and Virgie Beale of Charlotte, N.C.; 20 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. The funeral will be held at noon Monday at New Hope Baptist Church, 395 Old Great Neck Road, Virginia Beach, with the Rev. E. Ray Cox officiating. Interment will follow in Colonial Grove Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. The family will receive relatives and friends for remembrance and visitation Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Beach Funeral Services Inc., 4456 Bonney Road, Virginia Beach.
