Mildred DeCosi Obituary
Mildred A. DeCosi SOUTHERN SHORES - Mildred A. DeCosi, 84, passed away Aug. 13, 2008, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Mrs. DeCosi was born in Conway, N.C., the daughter of the late Lillian Effie Brantley and Everett Hampton Allen. She was the widow of Joseph F. DeCosi and was also preceded in death by her son, Vincent R. DeCosi. She is survived by her sisters, Annette Turner of Elizabeth City, N.C. and Vivian Davis of Eastern Shores, N.C.; niece, Beverly Mineo and family of Nags Head, N.C.; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Also surviving are sister-in-law, Vincenza DeCosi Smith of Virginia Beach; and two nephews, Joseph Trovato and Paul Trovato of Virginia Beach. A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel.
