Floyd Talley Obituary


Floyd Lee Talley NORFOLK - Floyd Lee Talley, 73, passed away July 17, 2008. Born in Norfolk, he was the son of the late William and Doris Talley. Lee retired from the merchant seaman industry after many years of dedicated service. Lee was preceded in death by his late wife, Ethel R. Talley, in 1999. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his three daughters, Lynn V. Hairston Hurd of Santa Ana, Calif., Sheila H. Talley of Austell, Ga., and Angela F. Talley of Jacksonville, Fla.; son, Floyd Lee Talley Jr. of Anaheim, Calif.; two grandchildren; brother, William Ernest Talley Jr. of Norfolk; and two sisters, Dorothy "Elaine" Talley Tyson of Lawton, Okla., and Geraldine Talley Hobby of New York City. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Roosevelt Memorial Park Chapel with Pastor Joseph Price officiating. Roy Davis Funeral Home of Austell, Ga., and Roosevelt Memorial Park are handling the arrangements. We will never forget you. May you rest peacefully. The family invites all of Lee's friends to come and celebrate his life with them.
