Fannie Creekmur Obituary


Fannie W. Creekmur PORTSMOUTH - Fannie M. Wadley Creekmur, 88, of the 200 block of Choate St., died Aug. 17, 2008, in Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center, Portsmouth. Born in Kinston, N.C., she was the widow of Samuel Wadley and Lorenza Creekmur. She was a member of First Baptist Church South Portsmouth, its Missionary Choir and Pastor's Aid. Survivors include three daughters, Catherine Reynolds, Gloria Jean Gatling and Rosetta Wadley; two stepdaughters, Vanessa McCall and DiAngela Campbell; three stepsons, Lorenza Creekmur Jr., J. Carroll Creekmur and Darryl Creekmur; two brothers, David Blackwell (Gloria) and Levi Croom; 19 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; special niece, Nellie Baysmore; other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A funeral will be at noon Thursday in First Baptist Church South Portsmouth by the Rev. Warren Amlet. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery. Viewing will begin Wednesday at noon in Fisher Funeral Home, 1520 Effingham St., Portsmouth. The family will be at 167 Allard Road, Portsmouth. The body will be in the church Thursday at 11 a.m. www.fisherfuneral.com.
