Doris was my neighbor for 13 years. She was such a character. She had an amazing sense of humor, and we were friends. She has not lived next door to me for almost 2 years now, and somehow, the flowers that she loved seem to miss her too...they don't bloom as often, and some have decided to not bloom at all. Today as I look next door though, there is a single rose standing, just as beautiful as it can be. It makes me smile...just as she did. I will forever miss her, and I will think of her, as I always do, whenever I see the roses in bloom. I know that she and Bonnie are now together taking care of one another, and watching over us.
