Robert Glenn Hanna

Robert G. Hanna NORFOLK - Robert Glenn Hanna, 78, of the 400 block of Fishermans Road, died Aug. 19, 2008. He was born in Lancaster, Pa., and was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline B. Hanna. Robert retired from the U.S. Navy following 27 years of service, serving during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He also retired from Ogden Foods and Farm Fresh as a bakery manager. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 327 and Fleet Reserve Association, Branch 60. Robert is survived by two daughters, Roberta J. Wilbur and husband Billy of Auburn, N.Y., and Phyllis A. Johnson and husband Mickey of Norfolk; two brothers, Donald E. Hanna and Richard M. Hanna; two grandchildren, Christie Chafee and great-grandchildren, Sidney and Liam Chafee. He was predeceased by two brothers, Benjamin L. Hanna and C. James Hanna; and two sisters, Helen M. Smith and Marian E. Christ. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, today from 7 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the charity of your choice.
