Arthur Hills Obituary


Arthur Hills NORFOLK - U.S. Navy retired First Class Arthur "Hills" Hills died Aug. 19, 2008. He was the son of Haywood and Laura Hills of Louisiana. He relocated to Virginia, where he married the late Mary E. Hills. He served his country with dignity and honor for 20 years. Upon retirement, he took a new career in postal service at Norfolk State University where he also retired. He was predeceased by Mack Glover Jr. (U.S. Army). Left to cherish his memory are Howard Glover (U.S. Navy); grandsons, Malcolm B. Glover (Carmelita), Howard Glover Jr. (U.S. Navy) and Jamel A. Glover (U.S. Navy); granddaughters, Lisa Glover-West (U.S. Navy) (James), Sonya Glover-Boston (Gary), Alicia S. Glover (U.S. Navy), Shaunta E. Glover (U.S. Air Force) and Tiara L. Glover (U.S. Army); and a host of other grandchildren, great-grandchildren and special friends such as Marvin Dillard (U.S. Army), Thomas and Delois Coffey (U.S. Navy retiree) and Ms. Carrillo Collins. The family will receive friends at the home from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today for an hour of reflections. Corprew Funeral Home is in charge.
