We met when starting 8th grade at Perquimans County High School with the combined Winfall and Hertford Grammar schools.(He from Winfall and I from Hertford) In 1989 we compiled a "Memories Book" for our 40th class reunion and trust everyone received a copy. Received the following message from him: "I entered the Army after graduation and returned to Hertford, married Rita, and had 2 children(Kevin and Nannette). I am a supervisor at Norfolk Housing Project. Sorry I can't be with you." We were sorry he missed that reunion and know he will be missed now by many people. He was a quiet student and good friend.

As a "country" kid, I learned about fishing, swimming in the river, hammering a nail, and a bit of gardening knowledge from my wonderful cousin, William;always smiling. Love and "thanks", Debbie
