Peter Low Obituary


Peter Christian Low STERLING - Peter Christian Low, 64, was born into this world July 4, 1944. He was the son of Martha and Harry Low of Brooklyn, N.Y. With his family by his side, Mr. Low joined the Lord Aug. 24, 2008, at his home in Sterling, Va. He is survived by the love of his life, Ellen; son, Peter; daughter, Aileen Smith (Derrick). He leaves to cherish his memory grandchildren, Julia, Justin, Christian and Derrick Jr. He will also be greatly missed by his brothers, George of Virginia Beach, Harry of Jefferson, N.Y., and John Hansen of the Dallas area. There are too many favorite nieces and nephews to mention. Mr. Low was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, John Low of Long Island, N.Y., and Ralph Low of Virginia Beach. Mr. Low was a faithful member of Riverside Presbyterian Church. The family would like to thank our church family for their prayers and support. Friends may call Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA 20175. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Ashburn Presbyterian Church, 20962 Ashburn Road, Ashburn, VA 20147. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peter's memory to the American Cancer Society or caringbridge.org.

Pete & Family-
I will always remember Big Pete's big smile and sense of humor. He also provided a loving environment for his huge family that has extended to me and other friends.
