Mamie Addison Obituary
Mamie R. Addison VIRGINIA BEACH - Mamie R. Addison, 90, of the 4600 block of Ardmore Lane, passed away Aug. 26, 2008, in her home. A native of Grimesland, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Roy and Josephine Dixon and the widow of John Addison. She is survived by her son, Ray M. Addison and wife Barbara of Virginia Beach; four grandchildren, Lauri Boatright, Eric Addison, Dawn Addison and Shawn Addison; and five great-grandchildren, Danyel Boatright, Donovan Goff, Chandler Pinchbeck, Kristen Simpson and Kayle Addison. A funeral will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, with the Rev. Dale Burden of Gateway Freewill Baptist Church officiating. The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.

I'd like to extend my sincerest condolences to Ms. Addison's entire famiy. While I didn't know her personally, I do know Ray and Barbara. If they are any example, she was a fantastic person and will be sorely missed by all those who knew and cared for and about her.
