George Anglin Obituary


George Anglin VIRGINIA BEACH - George "Pat" Anglin, 81, a longtime Virginia Beach resident, went home to be with our Lord Aug. 26, 2008. Pat was born Feb. 27, 1927, in Norfolk. He had retired from Hall's Trucking Co. and was a member of the Teamsters. Pat was a member of Kempsville Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and chairman of the ushers. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Pat loved to travel and was a huge NASCAR, Dale Earnhardt fan. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Carolyn T. Anglin; daughter, Anita Siegrist of Virginia Beach; three sons, Tom Anglin of North Carolina, Fred Anglin of Florida and Jim Anglin also of North Carolina; three stepdaughters, Betty Gray of Norfolk, Peggy Bowden and Glenda Kellum of Virginia Beach; stepson, Glen Herndon of Georgia; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. A service of remembrance will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Dr. Kelly J. Burris and the Rev. Rupert Wallace will be officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Pat's favorite charity, Hope Haven Foundation or to the Alzheimer's Association. In My Pocket
