Frances Hanley Obituary
Frances A. Hanley VIRGINIA BEACH - Frances A. Hanley, 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by family Aug. 28, 2008. She was born April 5, 1931, in Plymouth, Pa., and graduated from Plymouth High School and attended Bushwick School of Nursing in Brooklyn, N.Y. She moved to Virginia Beach and was a registered nurse at Virginia Beach General Hospital for 25 years. Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 55 years, Joseph Hanley Sr.; her son, Mike Hanley, his wife Deborah and children Michael and Kelsey; her daughter, Kathy Hanley; her daughter, Barbara Taliaferro and her husband Alan and children Allison and Paige; her son, Joe Hanley, his wife Lori and children Tripp, Mia and Brock; and her son, Tom Hanley, his wife Gail and children Katie, Shane and Will. A memorial service will be held Monday at 9 a.m. in Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 1404 Pacific Ave. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Star of the Sea Building Fund. Cremation Society of Virginia, Virginia Beach office, is assisting the family.
