Georgianna Stephens Obituary


Georgianna Stephens FRANKLIN - Georgianna Stephens, 93, of Madison Street, passed Aug. 27, 2008, in Southampton Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Stephens was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Henry Stephens; two sons, Roger W. Stephens and Harvey M. Stephens; and one daughter, Marian S. Stokes. She is survived by two daughters, Mary E. Hilliard and Bertha S. Butts; four sons, Joe A. Stephens, James M. Stephens, Milton T. Stephens and Anthony T. Stephens; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. A homegoing service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in New Piney Grove Baptist Church, Newsoms. Pastor George Futrell will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery. On the day of the service, her remains will be placed in church for viewing by 12:30 p.m. A visitation will be held today from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. A traditional service with dignity will be conducted by Wm. M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home Inc., 224 S. Main St., Franklin. Please visit www.wmjohnsonandsons.com to share a condolence.
