Sally Davis Obituary
Sally M. Davis EDENTON - Sally Estelle Moniz Davis, 86, of Cheyenne Trail, died Aug. 30, 2008, in Chowan Hospital. Mrs. Davis was born in New Bedford, Mass., and was the daughter of the late Francisco P. and Maria Borges Moniz. A homemaker, she was a member of Bandon Chapel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Sarah and Angie; brothers, Joseph, Edward, Thomas and Frank; and her husband, Casey Frank Davis. Surviving are her daughter, Elizabeth D. "Betty" Keller and husband Bill of Edenton; granddaughter, Nancy E. Kennedy and husband Rayburn of Portsmouth; and great-grandson, Rayburn Kennedy III. The funeral will be held Tuesday at noon in Bandon Chapel by the Rev. Kenneth Wallace. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. Friends may join the family Monday from 7 to 8 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and all other times at the home of her daughter, 117 Cheyenne Trail.
