Bessie Sharpe Obituary
Bessie O. Sharpe CHESAPEAKE - Ms. Bessie Odell Sharpe, 81, departed this life Aug. 29, 2008 to go home to be with her heavenly Father. She was the daughter of the late Russell Harris Sr. and Clara Jenkins Harris. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Roosevelt T. Sharpe. She leaves to cherish her memories two sons and three daughters, Curtis R. Sharpe of Chesapeake, Jeffery Sharpe of Oxon Hill, Md., Jennifer Sharpe of Newport News, Va., Valjean Sharpe of Chesapeake and Vivian Sinclair; and one son-in-law, Arthur Sinclair Sr., both of Chesapeake; one brother, Ruffin Harris Sr. of Tarboro, N.C.; three brothers-in-law, Ernest Hines, Greg Malcolm and Cleveland Hinton; three sisters-in-law, Anne Johnson, Odell Farmer and Mamie Spellman; five grandchildren, Cecil Thomas Jenkins III, Christina Darcia Sharpe, Deon Joseph Dyer, Paul Eugene Sinclair and Tinesha Selene Shaw and husband Antowyne Shaw; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. There will be a joyous celebration service for all who knew and loved Bessie Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Hemby-Willoughby Mortuary Chapel, 266 NC 33 East, Tarboro, N.C. Dear Mom, Having you in our lives and in our hearts is truly one of God's most beautiful blessings. Private burial will follow in the Harris Family Cemetery, Pinetops, N.C.
