Peggy Hassett Obituary
Peggy Hassett ATLANTA - Peggy Hassett, 81, of Atlanta and formerly of Franklin, died Sept. 6, 2008. A native of Portsmouth, she later moved to Franklin where her husband, Abe, was a merchant. In later years, she moved to Atlanta to be close to family. She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 45 years, Abe Hassett, of blessed memory. Survivors include her sons, Rob Hassett and wife Lynn, Atlanta, Bruce Hassett and wife Audrey of Vienna, Va.; daughter, Ellen Hassett, Norfolk; son, Lew Hassett and wife Sylvia, Atlanta; brother, Stanley Scher, Newport News; and seven grandchildren.
