Nancy Riddick Obituary


Nancy K. Riddick PORTSMOUTH - Nancy Kearney Riddick, 68, of the 200 block of Williams St., died Sept. 6, 2008, in her residence. A native of Suffolk, she retired after more than 30 years of service as an LPN and was a member of Zion Bethel UCC Church in Portsmouth, where she served in many capacities. She is survived by her husband, Sylvester Riddick Jr.; two daughters, Susan Brown and Juliette Skerrit (Corbin); a son, Michael Riddick (Judith); three sisters, Elsie, Deborah and Mattawalda; five brothers, Duke, Ronnie, Donald, Mitchell and Anthony; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends. A graveside service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Suffolk, by the Rev. D.A. Peace. Fisher Funeral Home, 1520 Effingham St., Portsmouth, is in charge. Viewing will begin Thursday at noon. The family will assemble at the funeral home Friday at 9:45 a.m. for the procession to the cemetery. www.fisherfuneral.com.
