Ms. Helen you were a dear friend and neighbor for many years on John Hancock. You never got my name right - always called me my older sister's name - Karen. It became a fun joke between us, especially when I started calling you "Louise"! You were incredibly bright and always in the "know" - you kept up with everything which made you the youngest 80-plus-year-old I ever knew. So many good times and so many wonderful memories - most of them good times and laughs, especially as I got older. Thanks for always being the neighborhood "mom" and someone I could debate with intelligently! I only hope I can be more like you as time goes on. Give my mom (Glenna) a hug for me when you see her. I know she has missed spending time with you. You will always be in my heart.

Mamaw will live on in my heart, memories, and the laughter she brought into our home (alot of which was at her expense, but she always loved every minute of it!) She was and is the glue that kept this family together with her daily "updates" because she cared so much about all of us. We will miss her dearly!

Jeez, Mamaw. Why did you have to go so soon? I remember all our times together, good and bad. I know I drove you nuts up until I was 16, then Amanda took over. I remember I used to take all of your silverware in the backyard and dig holes with my friends, and I felt so bad when you tripped in a hole and broke your ankle. I remember I used to play with your earlobes; you hated that. I'll never be able to do that again. I remember all the pranks I pulled on you, and when you used to get so mad at me and you'd throw things at me, haha. I wish you could have seen me grow up more, I'm only 18. I wanted to eventually name a little Mary Alice for you. All I want to do now is make you proud. You were always on my side, even when I was wrong. You always believed in me. I miss you so much, I hope you're so happy right now, up there with Grandad watching over us and laughing. I love you, Mamaw.

My deepest sympathies to the family of Mrs. Cartwright, she was such a great lady, and a dear friend to my mom and dad, Audrey & Gene Woodward. Mrs. C attended all our family celebrations over the years, even in bad health. We will greatly miss her but have very fond memories of her friendship and kindness, and especially all her hilarious antics she and Audrey did together. Heaven is rockin and rollin now !!

May the Love of Jesus Christ , our Lord and Savior ,be with the family
during these difficult times. Remember
his promise of eternal life if you believe in him. You will see Mamaw again. God will give you comfort, just ask.

Mrs. Cartwright was a very dear friend and neighbor to our Mom, Audrey Woodward. She was always available to celebrate in our family celebrations since 1970 on John Hancock St. I can still hear her sighing and saying "I sure do miss your Mom" these last 2 years...so you KNOW there is a grand welcoming party for her in Heaven right now! Audrey's been waiting for you, Mrs. C!!
Mom was always so grateful for all of Mrs. C's kids and grandkids for taking good care of her all these years. Just know that your Mammaw can now see, and hear, and kick up her heels, with her loved ones already in heaven. God bless you all!

Mrs. Cartwright was such an important part of our lives. She was there for every family event, wedding, funeral, birth, etc. She was one of my mother's closest friends and they truly were Frick and Frack. We loved her dearly and will miss her very much. Our deepest sympathies to her family.
