Crook was a very close friend of mine throughout the many years since high school. We visited occassionally, exchanged e-mails and phone calls almost weekly. We shared many stories...business and pleasure, sprinkled with, of course, a few embellished tall tales. I saw Crook at our class reunion in May. He was a part of the planning process and eagerly anticipated the event! He had a very large time and cherished every conversation with every person. I miss my friend Crook already!

My deepest sympathy to the Outlaw family. I am originally from the Hampton Roads area and work indirectly and directly with Wesley over the years. The last time we were together was at a L&N training in Jacksonville, FL. We sat next to each other joked and shared ideas over those few days. I will remember him kindly; he was always pleasant and positive. Thanks for all of your help Wes. Peace be with you and your family.

To the family. Please know that Crook will be sadly missed by all of his classmates, CHS 1963, He was a good friend to all of us. He loved his family and friends and dwelled on seeing and talking to them. I will keep you in my prayers.

It's hard to believe that "Crook" will no longer be at our class reunions. I was so glad to see him at the last get -together and then he stopped by our house as a surprise- he was just riding by and saw Oscar in the yard. He was so proud of the scrapbook you had made for him and shared and told stories about them. It just teaches us to treasure each moment. Farewell, my friend.

Wesley and a few others took me under their wings and became good friends when I first started inspecting several years back and helped guide me along. He and I spoke on the phone a lot and as business slowed and all of us expressed concern, I tried to help him any way I could to encourage him since this is what he did for me when I first started and was trying to grow my business.
He will be greatly missed; I never met anyone who knew him who did not like him. He was one of those people who was easy to become friends with and my wife & I express our condolences and sympathy to the family as this is a great loss. We pray Wes is at peace. Thanks for being a friend to this guy when he needed one and I hope I was the same to you.

I met Wesley Outlaw 9 years ago at a flooring convention in Dalton Georgia. I immediately took a liking to Wes, as most everyone did. We begin communicating regularly by phone and/or the internet, mostly about the floor covering industry and our respective businesses. We grew to be great friends over the years and I always looked forward to seeing him at the next convention, class, or seminar. The last I saw Wes was this past August at a flooring summit in Atlanta. I didn’t know Wes would be attending the summit, nor did he I. I will always thank God for bringing us together one more time before he went home. Wesley Outlaw was a good guy, a good friend and I will miss him greatly.

To most of us, he will always be remembered as "Crook." He loved life and loved people and he will be missed by all who knew him. Marie and Barbara, he loved you both very much and Stephen, he was very proud of you and all that you have accomplished. Even though we cannot attend the funeral, our thoughts and prayers are with each of you.
