Mary Ollar Obituary


Mary M. Ollar KITTY HAWK - Mary M. Ollar, 75, formerly a resident of Kitty Hawk, passed away at Britthaven Nursing Home, Nags Head, Friday, Sept. 12, 2008. She was born Jan. 4, 1933, the daughter of Linyear Mayo Wallace Sr. and Fidelia Woolard Wallace. Surviving are three children, Harold E. Oehrli of Elizabeth City, Mary Kathryn Ollar Martinez of Dallas and James M. Oehrli of Kill Devil Hills; a sister, Jean Baldwin of Delaware, Ohio; brothers, L.M. Wallace Jr. of Woodland, N.C., Merrill W. Wallace and Homer B. Wallace of Washington, N.C., Lem E. Wallace of Greenville, N.C.; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patty Ann Oehrli Best; her parents, and a brother, Joshua E. Wallace of Danville, Va.; husband, Harold E. Oehrli; and husband, Elston E. Ollar. Mary attended Washington High School. She was a member of The Dolphins Submarine Club and operator of NCC TV Inc. on the Outer Banks. A private memorial will be held. Arrangements are by Gallop Funeral Service, the Outer Banks, N.C.
