Henry Zorn Obituary


Henry E. Zorn VIRGINIA BEACH - Henry E. Zorn Jr. passed away peacefully Sept. 14, 2008, in the comfort of his home. Mr. Zorn was born Nov. 3, 1927, to the late Henry and Lina Zorn in Queens, N.Y. He served our country proudly during World War II in the U.S. Navy. Henry was a retired baker; he loved gardening and caring for his dogs. His family and friends will always remember him for his smile, outgoing personality and as a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed. Left to cherish his memory are: two sons, the Rev. Henry Zorn III (Cindy) of Ohio and Kenneth Zorn (Kathy) of N.Y.; daughter, Donna Dallas (James) of Virginia Beach; brother, Ernie Zorn (Lois); sister, Peggy Hlavacek (Anthony); sister- in-law, Audrey Zorn; granddaughters, Kristine Kascak, Ashlee Wetherington, Deanna Dallas, Rebecca Zorn, and Jamie Dallas; and stepgranddaughters, Lauren and Alyssa Marinelli. Mr. Zorn was preceded in death by both parents and his wife, Madeline Zorn. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today in Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 3900 Virginia Beach Blvd., Virginia Beach, 23452. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church or to the American Cancer Society. Please share your love and condolence with the family at www.mem.com.
