Florence Kerr Obituary
Florence M. Kerr VIRGINIA BEACH - Florence Marie Kerr, 70, passed away Sept. 17, 2008, in Virginia Beach. A former resident of Long Island, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Domenick and Rose Pagliocca and the widow of William B. Kerr. Mrs. Kerr is survived by her daughter, Ann Marie Gancio and her husband Michael; two sons, Domenick Mancusi and William Kerr and wife Cheri; two sisters, Delores Dragonetti and husband Ralph and Joan Taurone and husband Al; and five grandchildren, Jessica, Michael, Victoria, Sydney and Camryn. A Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Ascension with Father James Parke officiating. The family will receive friends at Hollomon- Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, today from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be offered to the American Cancer Society, 2730 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk, VA 23518. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.

To the family of Florence Kerr: I only knew her for a few short months but I know that she was a wonderful person both loved by her family and many others as well. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this hard time. I love my Domenick by the way!

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of incredible loss. I will always remember your mom and her laughter and joking her about her "Lawn Guyland" accent, which she NEVER lost. She will always be with you. She loved you all so much.

The staff of MPU SBH would like to offer our prayers to the family of Florence Kerr. She will be missed. We looked forward to her visits.to our unit. She always arrived with a friendly smile and kept us entertained while being treated. She had a positive additude and never missed a moment to share some happy or funny moments with us. My hat goes off to Michael and Billy who stayed with her all day during her treatments. What a supportive family. God Bless.
