Dorothy Clemons

Dorothy M. Clemons COURTLAND - Dorothy Mattie Clemons, 96, of the 29100 block of Berlin Dory Road, died Sept. 15, 2008, in Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin. A native of Suffolk, she was born Aug. 6, 1912 to the late Ireane and Bolden Tabron. Survivors include a foster daughter, Rose Brown; five nieces, Margaret Worrell (Tommie) of Courtland, Dorothy Wingate and Deloise Fulmore, both of Norfolk, Shirley Shannon (Herbert) of Laurel, Md., Doris Drumgold (Willie) of Chesapeake; two nephews, James Tabron (Mercede) and Joseph Tabron (Sarah), all of Norfolk; two grandchildren, and a host of great-nieces, -nephews and friends. She was predeceased by three sisters, Ethel Carr, Elizabeth Kello, Bernice Boykins; two brothers, Lloyd Tabron and Joseph Tabron; two nieces and one nephew. A funeral will be held at noon Saturday in Antioch United Church of God, 900 Hull Ave., Suffolk, VA 23434, by the Rev. Jarvis Jones. Burial will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery, Suffolk.
