Joseph Weiss Obituary


Joseph F. Weiss CHESAPEAKE - Dr. Joseph Franklin Weiss, 71, passed away Sept. 17, 2008, in his residence. He was a native of New York City and was a retired chemist with the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a graduate of Columbia University, received his master's degree from New York University and a doctorate degree in inorganic chemistry from the University of Arizona. He is survived by his wife, Peggy D. Weiss; daughter, Hanna Mulaj and her husband Isa of Charlotte, N.C.; and a son, Nathan Weiss of Chesapeake. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. He will be in our hearts forever. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com.

Joe was a good friend and quite. Enjoyed in his decesion to retire sense he had been sick.

I know he was looking forward to just staying home and resting.

I was glad that he had some time to spend with his family after retireing.
