Linda Robbins Eller MELFA - Mrs. Linda Robbins Eller, 66, wife of Jerry Eller and a resident of Melfa, passed away peacefully at her residence Sept. 18, 2008, with her husband of 47 years and her children by her side. Born Sept. 18, 1942, and reared in Onancock, Linda was the daughter of Joseph E. Robbins of Onancock and the late Pauline Somers Robbins. She graduated from Onancock High School in 1960 and attended Smithfield Massy School of Business where she became a bookkeeper and was employed by Dr. Tom Edmonds in Accomac before becoming a full-time homemaker. Linda was Presbyterian by heart, but Baptist in marriage and was an active member of Broadway Baptist Church. She was dedicated to the Lord and served her church faithfully in whatever capacity was needed. She was also active in the local Breast Cancer Support Group, where she offered much hope and support to others. She has been an inspiration to many over the years. Other than her devoted husband and her father, Linda is survived by a son, Lance Eller and his wife Carlene of Onley, Va.; daughter, Susan Eller-Smith and her husband David, currently stationed on the U.S. Coast Guard Base in Kodiak, Alaska; grandchildren, Joseph and Christen Eller, Zachary, Emily and Joshua Smith; sisters, Becky Schmidt and her husband Bill of Hampton, Millie Taylor and her husband Earl of Creedmoor, N.C.; brother, Tim Robbins and his wife Jess of Tangier, Va.; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral will be conducted from the graveside at the Fairview Lawn Cemetery in Onancock Monday at 2 p.m. with the Revs. Bob Smoot and Charles W. Parks III officiating. There will be a visitation at the Williams-Onancock Funeral Home today from 6 until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Shore Guys and Gals Relay for Life Team, c/o Angie Taylor, P.O.
