Roy Poore Obituary
Roy Zane Poore CHESAPEAKE - Roy Zane Poore of Chesapeake peacefully left this world with his wife by his side Sept. 18, 2008. Roy was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. His survivors include his wife, Sarah H. Poore of Chesapeake; his daughter, Carlene (Susie) and son-in-law Lev McElvey of Roanoke; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Judy Owens of Hertford, N.C., Mary Gregory of Manchester, Va.; and a sister-in-law, Iris Poore of Virginia Beach. He also had numerous stepchildren, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loved him very much. Cremation is being handled by Cremation Society of Virginia. Memorial service will be held at a later date.
