Pauline Curling Obituary


Pauline D. Curling PORTSMOUTH - Pauline Deans Curling, 85, of Fairway Drive, went to be with the Lord Monday, Sept. 23, 2008. A native of Portsmouth, she was born Dec. 2, 1922, to the late Julius and Hattie Deans. Pauline had been a member of The Alliance Church since 1942, where she was involved in the Sunday School Department, serving as treasurer for more than 43 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marion Winn and her brother, Alton C. Deans. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, W. Warren Curling; a son, William Craig Curling and wife Maria; and a grandson, Victor Curling. A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in The Alliance Church by the Rev. Palmer Zerbe. Entombment will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, today from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com.
