Ms. Hattie Russel was my teacher at Shea Terrance elementary school. When I look at the leaves for the fall and all of the colors I think of Ms. Russell. Ms. Russell had a wooden paddle in her room and boy did I get that paddle a lot. Back then the teachers cared about their students. We would go outside and play kick ball everyday. I think about ms. Russell alot. Ms. Russell taught me how to sing. I thank God for the good memories of Ms. Hattie Russell.

Rejoice in the Knowledge that she knew Christ and served him wholeheartedly therefore to be absent from this body is to be present with God. She no longer will be able to attend to her garden at home but today she is relaxing in the garden of Love. She will be fondly missed and loved.

Mrs. Russell was as beautiful as the flowers she planted in her yard. As an educator she was responsible for helping make many of us who grew up in North Truxton and attended Truxton School the successful adults we are today. No words can thank you enough as you will never be forgotten. May GOD Bless You with a Rose Garden In Glory.

Mrs. Russell was like a mom to me. It is difficult to imagine life without her. Her home was my home-and I was always welcome there.
She was a gentle giant who dedicated her life to prepare all of her students to excel in life; I was one of those students.
Nevertheless, "to live is Christ and to die is gain!" I am confident that my teacher, friend and encourager is resting in the bossom of Jesus! What a life God has allowed Mrs. Russell to live.
Mrs. Hattie Mae Perkins Gray Russell will be greatly missed.
With Eternal love,

Mom Russell has always been a positive influence in my life. Her physical presence will surely be missed, but the love that she had for everyone will live on forever.
