Martha Linton Obituary


Martha Fones Linton PORTSMOUTH - Martha Fones Linton, 87, passed away Friday, Sept. 26, 2008, in a local hospital. She was a native of Buckingham County, Virginia, and the daughter of the late Robert and Leonette Fones. She retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. as a bookkeeper. She was predeceased by her husband, Gilmer G. Linton and her son, Richard T. Kitelyn Jr. Survivors include a son, Wayne Kitelyn and his companion Nora Paschall of Seaford, Va.; a stepdaughter, Carolyn Harris and her husband Ken of Portsmouth; five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Cary Borkert. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com.
