Drew was a high school friend of mine. I have so many fond memories that include his friendship. He was a wonderful friend, a comedian, a "big brother" type, a safe place, and a big part of my growing up in high school. What a great friend he was. He will be missed!

I have photos with Drew during fun times in High School- dances, Busch Gardens, etc. If the family is interested, feel free to contact me for them.

I met Drew 5.5 years ago in a church small group. Two years later, we became roomates and I lived in his condo for a year and a half. He was funny, a great handyman, had a huge heart for animals, and always put others first before himself.
I am SO saddened to hear this news. Drew was a special young man and always so kind, helpful and generous. He was everyone's friend and loved and respected by so many.
My deepest prayers and thoughts are with you during this time. May the Lord's peace and comfort surround you now and always.

Drew, You are someone that I will never forget. Your sense of humor and kindness were one in a million. You will be so very deeply missed by many.

Dear Gilmer family,

I am so sorry for your loss. Drew touched all of our lives in different ways. Now those memories are more precious than ever. Each of us carry a small piece of his life with us in our hearts. You should be proud of the man that you raised and while none of us are ready to say goodbye, it was truly a blessing to have known him at all. He is certainly missed.

In the three years we worked together, Drew became more than a co-worker, he was my friend. He had a great sense of humor and is truly one of the most kind and gentle people I have ever known. Always very supportive and encouraging, he always knew what to say to cheer me up at just the right time; I only wish he was here now to cheer me up.

There are no words that can ease the pain and sorrow you're feeling right now, but please know how much Drew meant to everyone he met. I pray that God's peace comforts your family now and always.

Those of us who love Drew are also sharing your grief. He will never be far from thought, or far from my heart.

With great love and deepest sympathy,
Somer Parker

Drew and I became fast friends in the short time we knew each other. I got the feeling that was the way it was for most people he met. His kindness, sense of humor and genuine humility were so attractive. I will cherish his memory. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. We will miss him greatly.

Drew became a friend about four months ago. He was a "gentle soul" who walked "softly" in our circle of friends. I am very saddened by his passing, but have good memories. I pray that his family will have less pain as they grieve for him.
