Zelda Asher Obituary
Zelda A. Asher NORFOLK - Zelda Abrams Asher, 90, of the 1200 block of Colonial Ave., passed away Sept. 30, 2008, in Harbour Pointe Medical & Rehabilitation Center. She was born April 28, 1918, in New Jersey and was a member of B'nai Israel Congregation in Norfolk. Mrs. Asher was preceded in death by her husband, Ishai Ben Asher. She is survived by a daughter, Annette Abrons and husband Mark; son, Nathan L. Asher; brother, William Abrams and wife Esther; and four grandchildren, Jonathan and Joshua Abrons, Nathan Asher and Jennifer Spinks. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Chevra Thilim Cemetery, George Washington Highway and Frederick Boulevard, Portsmouth, by Rabbi Chaim Silver. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is handling these arrangements. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Telshe Yeshiva Private School, 3535 W.
