Karen Morrow Obituary


Karen L. Morrow VIRGINIA BEACH - Karen Louise Morrow passed away Oct. 1, 2008. She was 67. Karen is survived by her husband, James Morrow and her son, Ryan Morrow of Virginia Beach. She is also survived by her brother, Norman Boe and father, Clarence Boe of Portland, Ore. Karen was predeceased by her sister, Merrie Ellen Davies and her mother, Helen Boe. Karen was a longtime resident of Virginia Beach, coming here in 1962 with her naval officer husband. She completed her education at Old Dominion University and was a school teacher with the Virginia Beach public school system. Karen took additional classes at The College of William and Mary to achieve accreditation to teach special education. Karen was active in local community organizations and was an active member of the Virginia Beach Library Board during the planning and construction of the Virginia Beach Central Library. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Eastern Shore Chapel Episcopal Church by the Rev. C. Christopher Thompson. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice. Online condolences may be made at www.hdoliver.com.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Karen. Our sympathies go out to her family. She was such an outgoing, friendly and fun person in school and she will be greatly missed.

I remember Karen as a lovely and caring classmate from Roseburg High School. She was mentioned often and missed greatly at our recent 50th Reunion. My sympathy to your family.
