Rickie O'Neal Obituary


Rickie J. O'Neal VIRGINIA BEACH - Rickie Julius O'Neal, 44, of the 2200 block of London Bridge Road, died Sept. 30, 2008, at home. A native of Princess Anne County, Virginia Beach, he was the son of Dorothy O'Neal and the late Walter Julius O'Neal Sr. He is survived by his son, Christopher O'Neal of Newport News; his mother, Dorothy O'Neal; one sister, Kristine O. Neal; two brothers, Bobby Joe O'Neal of Ambrige, Pa., and Walter J. O'Neal Jr. (Yolanda) of Virginia Beach; one niece, Meghen Dodson of Virginia Beach and Xavier O'Neal of Norfolk; special cousins, Billy Farmville of Chesapeake, Kent Hays of Virginia Beach and Jesse Trent of Suffolk; a dear friend of the family, Brother Ambrose of Ambridge, Pa.; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Family and friends will assemble at the residence, 2260 London Bridge Road, Virginia Beach, at noon. A viewing will be held at Crocker Funeral Home, Suffolk, beginning at 5 p.m. today. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.crockerfuneralhome.com.

I am so very sorry to hear of his passing. For the brief encounter I had with him, he was very polite, handsome and had a heart of gold. So few of my patients leave such a lasting impression. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

To the family of Ricky, I am so sorry for your loss. I to just lost my mother Aug 27th and I am having a time but, I want you to know that I know what you are going through. I pray for each and eveyone of you peace and comfort during this time. I am a former classmate of Ricky's at Kellam High School and we were friends in school and had a fun relationship. I just wanted to let you all know that my prayers are also with you all.
