Lester Copeland Obituary


Lester E. Copeland VIRGINIA BEACH - Lester E. Copeland, 87, passed away Oct. 4, 2008. Lester was a chief petty officer for the U.S. Navy, and served our country in World War II. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lynette Thomason and is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Jackie; two daughters, Leslie Stowell and her husband Art and Tricia Parron and her husband Bobby; five grandsons, Artie and his wife Paula, Dennis and his wife Beth, David, Jeff, Chris and his wife Jess. His memory will also be cherished by his great-grandchildren, Noah, Davie, Evan, Arden and Cayden. There will be a graveside service held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Avenue of Flags in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association. Condolences may be offered to the family online at www.woodlawngroup.com.
