James Terrell Obituary


James J. Terrell CHESAPEAKE - James Joseph Terrell, 72, died Oct. 4, 2008. Mr. Terrell was born in Springfield, Ky., to Edna Boblitt Terrell and the late Kenneth Terrell. Mr. Terrell was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years. He later retired from the Norfolk Shipyard. Mr. Terrell was an avid fisherman and coin collector who enjoyed being with his family. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 49 years, Glenys Bowles Terrell; his mother, Edna of Louisville, Ky.; sons, Gary Joseph Terrell and wife Tricia of Beavercreek, Ohio, and Mike Terrell and wife Kay of Chesapeake; brothers, Kenneth Terrell of Simpsonville, Ky., William "Bill" Terrell of Fairfield, Ohio, and Tom Terrell of Louisville; sister, Diane Blair of Louisville; grandchildren, Bronwynn and Noah Terrell of Chesapeake; and a host of loving nieces, nephews and "adopted" children. The family will receive friends at Twifords Funeral Home, Chesapeake, Tuesday from 7 until 8:30 p.m. A funeral will be held in Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Lyme Disease Foundation, P.O. Box 332, Tolland, CT 06084. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.twifordfh.com.
