Clifford States Obituary
Clifford W. States Jr. VIRGINIA BEACH - Clifford Wilson States Jr., 67, passed away Oct. 3, 2008. He was part of the Cherokee Santee Shoshoni Indian Tribe of Missouri. Mr. States is survived by his wife, Dorothy States; six children, Dorothy Willey of Clearwater, Fla., Jacob States of Virginia Beach, Donna Ellis of Norfolk, Donnie Gaylord of Virginia Beach, Ruby Pfleger of Smithfield, and JoAnn Mueller of Colorado; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and three sisters, Harlene Demarest of Portsmouth, Hazel Miller of Phoenix, Ariz., and Sandra Billings of Kansas. The family will receive friends at Mr. States' home Tuesday from 7 to 10 p.m. Altmeyer Funeral Home, Maestas Chapel, 1801 Baltic Ave., Virginia Beach, is in charge of the arrangements.
