Carolyn Twiford Obituary
Carolyn C. Twiford KITTY HAWK - Carolyn Culpepper Twiford, 79, died Oct. 6, 2008, in the Outer Banks Hospital, Nags Head. Mrs. Twiford was born in Nags Head and was a retired postal clerk and also former co-owner of Twiford's Self Service Store. She was the daughter of the late Milton and Carrie Partridge Culpepper. Mrs. Twiford is survived by her husband, William Elton Twiford of the residence; two daughters, Deborah Twiford and companion Kelin Brewer of Raleigh and Denise Hines and husband Keith of Luverne, Ala.; a son, Dennis Twiford and wife Lucy of Kitty Hawk; two grandchildren, Anna Jeffreys and Sarah Grodzickic and husband Nick; and two great-grandchildren, Madison and Ayden Grodzickic. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dare Home Health & Hospice, P.O. Box 1000, Manteo, NC 27954 or to the American Cancer Society, 930 B Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27834. Twiford's Colony Chapel, Manteo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
