Lucille Pawlin Obituary


Lucille Pawlin CHESAPEAKE - Lucille Pawlin, 75, a native of Steubenville, Ohio, and formerly of Virginia Beach and Shawboro, N.C., died Oct. 6, 2008, after a lengthy illness. Not only was she a lifelong nurturer and homemaker, but also a loving nana and mamaw. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Rose Celia Pysniak; brothers, Edward "Eddie" Pysniak, Bernard "Benny" Pysniak; sisters, Florence "Flo" Bird, Delores "Dodo" Whiteman and Shirley Lamatrice. Survivors include her sister, Mildred "Millie" Wood; daughters, Linda and husband Doyle, Mary and husband Jerry; sons, John and wife Deborah, Joe and wife Barbara and Stanley Jr.; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews; many friends and special phone pal, Patti. Lue was an enthusiastic football fan who cheered for the Bengals and any team her sons cheered for and had a passion for cooking in the kitchen. She will be deeply missed by those who had the opportunity to know her. A Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. in Prince of Peace Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Romeo Jazmin officiating. Burial will be private. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, is handling the arrangements. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy be made in the form of contributions to the Humane Society at www.HSVS.org/memorial. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
