Bette Harris Obituary
Bette E. Harris NORFOLK - Bette E. Harris of the 100 block of E. Ocean View Ave. passed away Oct. 8, 2008, in DePaul Medical Center. A native of Cardiff, South Wales, United Kingdom, she was the daughter of the late James and Helen Williams. She worked at the Lafayette Yacht Club for many years. She was a longtime member of the Church of the Advent. Mrs. Harris is survived by her sister, Kay Dendy of Norfolk; her nieces, Jane and Elizabeth; her nephew, Paul; and their many children who will sadly miss her. A memorial service will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Church of the Advent. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Church of the Advent, 9629 Norfolk Ave., Norfolk, VA 23503. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
