Eileen Cumbia Obituary
Eileen Stuart Cumbia CHESAPEAKE - Eileen Stuart Cumbia, 72, of the 4000 block of Woodland Drive, died Oct. 10, 2008, in her residence. A native of Portsmouth, she was the widow of George Bernard "Buddy" Cumbia and was a retired school bus driver for the City of Portsmouth. Survivors include a daughter, Deborah C. Bruhwel and husband Krister of Newport News; three sons, Peter W. Dowson, Brad W. Cumbia and wife Terri and Brett B. Cumbia, all of Chesapeake; a brother, Gary Stuart of Portsmouth; and five grandchildren, William C. Dowson Jr., Marissa K. Dowson, Allena R. Dowson, Andrew C. Dowson and Brady W. Cumbia. She was preceded in death by a son, William Creig Dowson. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Meadowbrook Mausoleum Chapel by the Rev. Tom Potter. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Sunday. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com.
