Larry Kuhlmann Obituary


Larry A. Kuhlmann CHESAPEAKE - Larry Alfred Kuhlmann, 66, of the 700 block of Inlet Quay, passed away Oct. 9, 2008. Born in Portland, Ore., he was the son of the late Alfred and Emilie Reith Kuhlmann. Mr. Kuhlmann retired after 22 years of service from the U.S. Navy as a veteran of the Vietnam War, and also retired from 20 years of civil service. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Jean Kuhlmann of Chesapeake; a son, Brian David Kuhlmann and wife Amy of Oakton, Va.; two daughters, Jennifer Emily Schneider of Annandale, Va., and Victoria Evelyn Zano and husband Roderick of Chesapeake; a sister, Doreen Moody and husband Richard of Sandy, Ore.; a brother, Delbert Paul Kuhlmann and wife Georgianna of Portland; three grandchildren, Erika Marie Schneider, Gail Elizabeth Schneider and John-Paul Larry Zano; and his mother-in-law, Evelyn Gutowsky, also of Chesapeake. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Great Bridge Chapel of Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, VA 23322. Services will be held at a later date in Portland, Ore.
