George Steven Palmer Jr. AMELIA, Ohio - George Steven Palmer Jr. of Amelia, Ohio, died suddenly Oct. 7, 2008, at his residence. He was 26. Born in Doylestown, Pa., he was the loving son of Mary Ann Maloney Palmer of Wildwood, N.J., and George Steven Palmer of Homerville, Ga. He was the maternal grandson of the late Clifford Jerome and Josephine Corona Maloney. Steven, or "Stevie," as he was known to his family and friends, was a resident of Amelia for the past four years. He formerly lived in Chesapeake for 17 years. Steven graduated from Western Branch High School in Chesapeake as a member of the class of 2000. He was employed as a fabricator at Harmon Inc., located in West Chester, Ohio. In his leisure time, he was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. Steven had a fascination for anything that moved fast. He had a special place in his heart for animals, caring for wild and domestic animals alike whenever possible. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Natalie Lynn Palmer of Milford, Ohio; his twin brother, Samuel Wesley Palmer II and his wife Elizabeth of Portsmouth; his older brother, Daniel Patrick Palmer and his wife Megan of Sterling, Va., and his paternal grandparents, Samuel Wesley and Dolores Catherine Piano Palmer of Holland, Pa. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road) Richboro, PA 18954 and to his funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Bede the Venerable Church, Holland. Interment will be held in Hampton Roads at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Portsmouth Humane Society, 2704 Frederick Blvd., Portsmouth, VA 23704. A memorial service will be held in Virginia at a future date.
